Ford nav has become almost worthless.
1. Enter address, shows calculation to 100%, shows starting navigation, then goes to start nav screen. If I leave it about 3-5 min latter suddenly shows route.
2. Navigation to wrong place. 3x has navigated to wrong place. Name of business correct, address correct, city correct, 2x residential area telling me I arrived? Had to use Google, same name, same address, and gets me from where I am to where I am supposed to be.
3. Voice command will only find business if exactly matches name. I.e. say church name and city, lists all kinds of churches by me, but not even churches in right city. Say just church name leave off church nothing. Say electrify America lists some, say EA differant ones, but not one I am looking for. Must get ENTIRE name correct. I.e. kent valley ice arena. Kent ice arena nada.
4. Finding charge station from navigation screen next to impossible unless stopped. Trying to change charge station on trip can also be tricky.
5. Voice command can't find something, type in it can. But can't type while moving.
Why do I need 3 apps to find charger? And have to verify route with maps?
What am I doing wrong?

1 and 2 - I never had those problems
3 - It's always been like that. Main reason I use google maps instead most of the time.
4 and 5 - I don't use chargers that are not in my garage.

I won't try to apologize for Ford navigation, I wish they would just turn it over to google maps and let it have more access to battery state and conditioning.

However, I have found the search along route function to be useful in overcoming some of your issues with 3-5. I'm not in my car so I don't recall the exact location. I hope it helps.

I charge in my garage when I am in my garage. However I have not found how to charge in my garage when more than 500 or miles away.

I can work around it all, except waiting 5 min for route to finally show up, and navigating to wrong place. I find it shocking that it can't route to an address. 2 were POI and one was an address. Why i am sitting in residential area nav saying i have arrived. Ask google it gets me from where nav say i arrived to where i want to acctually arrive. Especially when street or number dont match. Every other mapping app can FIND, AND ROUTE to CORRECT destination.
PS. Yes I know how to use all the apps available. However it kills my OCD when Ford nav doesn't work.

I use the Ford nav and dont have issues, I find Alexa to be 10x more accurate when so I never use Ford voice commands. Ford wont find the buisness, Alexa does easily.

Ford nav has become almost worthless.
1. Enter address, shows calculation to 100%, shows starting navigation, then goes to start nav screen. If I leave it about 3-5 min latter suddenly shows route.
I use the built-in Nav pretty much exclusively, in my Mach-E. I know I am not in the majority when I say this. I rarely have any issues, definitely never experienced your #1.

2. Navigation to wrong place. 3x has navigated to wrong place. Name of business correct, address correct, city correct, 2x residential area telling me I arrived? Had to use Google, same name, same address, and gets me from where I am to where I am supposed to be.
I have also never had the built-in Nav send me to the wrong location. Sometimes, it does not always select what I would consider the most direct route.

I have experienced something similar, but on mine (maybe it is a setting) if I said "Kent Ice Arena" as in your example, and if it could not find an exact match, it presents me with a list of several choices with the word "Kent" in it, or even "Ice Arena" in the name, and I can choose from the list on the screen.

4. Finding charge station from navigation screen next to impossible unless stopped. Trying to change charge station on trip can also be tricky.
I have found, that if the built-in Nav thinks you are going to need to charge before reaching your destination, there is no problem locating a charger. It will pick one for you, and if you don't want that one, you can enter another choice. But yes, you must be stopped to interact (by touch) with the screen. This is a built-in safety thing.

You forgot #6: no support for Tesla Super Chargers. The Public charging app is one work-around, IF you have it. My 2022 is up to date including support for P&C on Tesla Super chargers and BC 1.3 but I still don't have the Public Charging app.

Thankfully it appears that a recent (read: full blown FDRS update all things weekend) has resolved my Iphone 15 from being the utter joke of nav it was. I didnt' renew my Ford Nav because I found no value in it other than, it worked when my iphone shit the bed (which was BOTH Iphone 15 pros 95% of the time). Now it appears (in the 4 times I've used apple maps since this last weekend) that it will in fact work better than the Ford nav. At least it is currently, we'll see.

I'm guessing that's an issue with garmin not updating.

Perhaps I've been lucky but the in car nav works great and almost always the businesses are in there under their names. and never been misrouted.

1 & 2: never experienced.
3: I don't use voice directions, I don't talk to my phone or my car, just my dog (occasionally my wife ?). I only have Siri turned on because otherwise carplay doesn't work.
4 & 5: stopping for a minute it's actually a good thing.

Agree Ford Nav is completely worth it. Love our '22GTPE, but after a couple of frustrating times trying to use the NAV, we simply use Google on our cell phone instead. Still, the GTPE is the best car we have ever owned.
