I try to continue to be optimistic and offer what I can. This forum started out with the best of intentions and I hope it continues that way ?
I try as well. Sometimes the flashbacks to my days in automotive dealership service are too much to bear. ? ? The ignore list helps.

Hey, weren’t there issues initially when Mustang Mach E reservations went live? I seem to remember having all sorts of goofy issues with mine, then again when we had to go through the conversion of reservations to orders process? I mention this because someone said they thought it might be related to the F-150 Lightning going live. I’d think they’d just reuse the Mustang Mach E processes for F-150 Lightning (but what do I know? ?‍♂)

So I was having issues and got the note saying they were having performance issues. When I got out to my car I had the notification that the latest Power-Up OTA was installed. After that, it has been working normally.

I can tell you this.... If we had a customer-critical outage that lasted 20+ hours like this one, I would be explaining that shit to VP-level people, writing RCA documents, etc etc. Who knows what is going on with FordPass support.
I say this respectfully so that @BMT1071 doesn't get mad at me...

Unless you know what the problem is it's just wrong to point fingers. It could be underlying infrastructure. It could be the accounting department that didn't pay a bill and third party services were suspended. There's just a ton of possibilities and it's not always so obvious.

Worked at a company 20 years ago, that tried to show me how they're backup plan was solid, which it wasn't. They showed me how they had duplicate T1 lines coming in, I pointed out that they both came in on the same final telephone pole. Then they explained the generator. First outage, it didn't start because it had no oil in it... Site when down for 1 1/2 days because someone didn't renew the domain name...

I agree, we have no idea what the issue was. Didn't really intend to point fingers. I am just curious about what sort of Ops organization Ford has supporting this type of issue.

Hahah that brings back so many memories of 15+ years supporting the network for what was at the time a Fortune 5 company. One of the biggest in the world... I can't tell you how many times we saw things like the AC system going out in a datacenter, generators not working, flooding from huge rainstorms, backup battery systems going offline due to hardware failures, squirrels chewing through T1 lines... Just all kinds of crazy stuff. Perhaps my favorite was when a big earthquake cut a massive data line in the Pacific Ocean and the customer wanted us to stay on a conference call until it was repaired... Eventually reality set in. Another favorite was when a site would have a circuit outage, and some Plant Manager type would get on the call yelling about how they were losing $1million per hour, etc... The IT rep from the company would typically tell them that they should have considered that when they rejected the plan to install a backup data circuit due to it costing a few thousand dollars. Good fun.

I got called into a VP’s office once because somebody on our team screwed up the color scheme on our order portal that was live for less than an hour! ?

It’s a nice apology notification, glad they acknowledged it.
A bit of a tease implying that there's an update available. ?

App was down for update. At the same time my car pooped out and could not get the roadside app to work either.

Now it kinda sorta works
