My next update is 6.7.0 but on their highlights verbiage it says that I will have "remote control of the frunk"!!! Not that I will be able to remote-close it. If you're like me...I already have this ability thru my FordPass so what's the big deal?

Yes, it has some new bug fixes in it, so it's still a good thing you got it even if you already had a working frunk button.

They may be referring to the button added to the sync touch screen. ?‍♂

There's two things going on here.

Ford is pushing out updates that will eventually upgrade the version of BlueCruise on the car. But that's not a single update ... it's a series of modules that all need to be updated. So while they are doing those updates, many of the updates also include some other feature. This particular update ... that "other feature" is the frunk.

If you have a 21 Job-2 or later car then this wont be anything new. But if you had a 21 Job-1 car ... the only way to open the frunk was by pulling the lever in the driver footwell. As of this update, those 21 Job-1 cars finally have the frunk button in FordPass (I have one of those cars). It's still not on the menu in the center screen -- that will require a Sync4 update (to come in a later update).

This is the best explanation. As a Job 1 MME I appreciate this! Thanks!

people complain when they don’t get updates. Now we are complaining that we got updates?! OMG. We are idiots.

It’s now more frunky when it opens. It was less frunky before. The details of the frunkiness are a closely guarded secret. Not for us mere consumers to worry about.

Yeah, as a job 1 owner, this was a nice update. Took about a day for the button to show up on my Fordpass app but it does work.

At least you got the update. I went from 6.3 to 6.13 and obviously didn't get any of the updates in between.

Hopefully we'll get another Sync update to activate the frunk buttons on our screens soon. ?

As a 2021 Job 1 owner, I’m super happy with this update! Tried it out this morning and it worked great.

I’d settle for just getting this update. 2 weeks since my last numbered update.
