Non EA 2022 Premium ER AWD received and applied the update last night. Sometime after the update it triggered the security system, sounded the alarm for detecting the hood open. We charged overnight and while unplugging the charger this morning the frunk opened on it's own. Odd...

As with 6.6.0 my initial attempt failed because of low SOC of the LVB. But this time I tried the blower method described here in @Mach-Lee's post in the failed OTA sticky and it worked. For 6.6.0 I used the method of plugging and charging but this time didn't feel like charging so used the blower approach. The LVB went from 63% to 82% in 2 hrs and I then manually updated (the HVB SOC dropped from 61% to 59%).

About to post this as well.
Received update yesterday afternoon.
Went to bedroom at around midnight which is above the garage.
The car alarm went off and upon observation the frunk was open.

I thought did I leave that open? So shut it and went back to bed.
This morning after waking I picked up my cellphone, which would bring it back to life.
Then the alarm went off again and no surprise the frunk was up.

Frunking alarm!!!

So pleased to be able to open the frunk without opening the car door (early model), not so happy about midnight alarm. Been letting Ford know every opportunity that this is useful but hope this doesn't continue @Ford Motor Company. @Ford of Canada.

PS - the alarm didn't wake my teenager daughter right above it!

I can't even get the update 23B50, which they sent a notice for in October saying I should get it ASAP, and which specifically says with Automatic Updates on, your vehicle will have to be parked with ignition off for 2 hours, and they recommend scheduling updates overnight.
..
I now have 6.7 on my MME. But, how do I know if 23B50 is now on the car or do I still need to get this done ?

I may have missed this--did 6.7 also enable opening the frunk from the keypad on the door or was that always there?

This functionality would be on any MME from the factory except for a 2021 Job1 car. The new BCM/GFM software enables the electronic release mechanism on the first batch of cars. 😊🐩

Got it, thanks! For some reason I didn't know that but then again I've had the ability to open via FP. But it's nice to have the door feature since sometimes FP is clunky.

You need PaaK enabled on your phone, and then for the Ford web gods to verify everything is good on the vehicle.
So I didn't need to wipe my ford pass app data, deleting my paak and making me reset it all up again for no reason? Because that did not work.

They keypad works though!

2023 early build, received 6.3.0 this week, it disabled the folding mirrors when locked. just had to go back into menu and turn it back on than same that to the driver number. (1-3 on the door by holding the button you want to save it to.)

Yay!!! I can now open the frunk using the doorpad. I don't see a button on the app nor on the car screen, but love that it works with the door code.
Thanks. Paak has been on my phone since May 22. How do I ask the Ford Gods to verify and give me my frunk icon? Trying my best not to type bad words but must comment that Ford makes what seems very simple hard for non techy folks.
Try closing and restarting the FordPass app.

I just received 6.7.0 on my 21 J1. No frunk button in app and also removed my phone as a key. After setting up PAAK, frunk button appeared and is functional.

Just installed this update on my 2023 GT. It was an inhibit update and according to the release notes it installs a feature that has been available since I bought the vehicle. That's a feature...thanks Ford!

Same here... I'm super confused. Can someone explain to me why my 2021 GT got a feature that I've had since day one ownership (over two years ago) and nothing else?

This will likely be my last update for a while since I'm not interested in the 6.8.0 update where they remove the speedometer from the center of the display.
