With a recent update, Google Maps through Android Auto display arrival SoC, and the car seems to know that the destination is a charger, so I would expect preconditioning.

Wrong. Preconditioning works fine.

Preconditioning works fine.

Preconditioning may work fine IF you've received the update. I have not, despite doing a daily rain dance to the Ford software gods. I think I saw Ford had paused this particular update. I haven't heard anything about it in a long time.

Thanks, I had seen that. What's strange is that I did not receive 10.1.0 (my last 2 OTA updates were 6.14 and then BC 1.3). But of the list below, I have the #1 already available. ??‍

Thanks to this update, Google Maps will be able to share routing information like:

• Battery on-arrival estimate for all route stops
• Recommended charging stops
• Minimum recommended charge
• List of nearby amenities at charging stops

On top of that, we’re also delivering a few extra surprises with this update. Enroute pre-conditioning will be available when navigating to DC fast-chargers, and drivers will also be able to see available chargers and compatible Tesla Supercharger locations along their routes.

I think he was refering to ABRP not pre-conditioning.
