FordPass App Draining IPhone Battery?

I’ve used the Ford IPhone App for PAAC & all other MME functions for 4+ yrs now. It’s always ON as an app on my phone. But recently, I’ve noticed my phone (IPhone 15) almost out of power by early evening, which is new. So… I closed the FordPass app & actually used the key fob these past few days and guess what? My power now lasts the entire day.

So, I realize my IPhone is now a couple yrs old & battery isn’t what it used to be but.., could this portend that the latest version of the Ford App is a bit more power hungry? Have any others experienced this??

Go to settings and tap on Battery to see how much battery the app uses. My phone says between 2 to 5%

My wife has noticed that Ford app is highest battery usage on her iPhone 15. 8% some days.

I feel this is high. What usage is normal on newer model iPhones?

I use Fordpass and PaaK with background access on my iPhone 17. Battery use shows 1% use for Ford today.

Try restarting the phone - the problem will likely go away.

I have found that several times over the years, after an iPhone update, a 2nd restart is needed to clear the brains. I think it has something to do with the way PAAK interacts with the update.

Mine is right about the same as yours Ali. For the entire week the low was 3% and high 5%. My 17 Pro has no battery issues with the Ford App and has plenty of charge left at the end of the day. I am running the Beta version 26.4

Yeah it’s higher than expected for me on iPhone 16. Havent driven once today. Nor left the house

Yep, I don’t do that enough for sure. Have done so & now sitting at about 3%. But it’s been as high as 16% in the past. No idea why it fluctuates so much but good counsel to just restart the darn phone at least 1x/wk!

There’s no need to keep the app running if you’re not going to be using it. Just swipe it up and stop the excessive draw that way for now.

I’ve been having this problem on an iPhone 15. I have background refresh turned off, location turned off, closed the app and have rebooted the phone several times and again today it’s draining my phone battery using “background activity”.

mine's currently at 3%. Highest in the last week was 7% on Monday.

Mine is under 1%. The only time I have the Ford App running is when I'm actively using it.
