FordPass: "Preparing for a drive" message?

My FordPass is telling me my Mach-E is "preparing for a drive".

Strange, as I have no departure times setup.

Is this what the car does to prevent its battery from freezing up? Just curious if anyone else has come across this message without having any departure times setup.

Same situation. I'm getting the same message today, and assume it's the car making sure the battery stays above a minimum temperature. My ChargePoint app is showing it's been going up in small spikes during this frigid day.

I saw this message for the first time last night as well. Same as you, I don’t have any departure times set. Best I could tell from searching the forums is that it is related to keeping the battery warm.

Yes, it keeps the battery from getting too cold. Had my Mach E for 18 months and it’s doing it when temperature goes under 30F or so.

Just means that the car is heating up the battery

Yes that ford pass message means it's heating battery. Mostly because of the temp recently esp if you are parked outside
