FordPass Update - Dark Mode/New Authorization

Nice function! but can we please get an update to be able to see the status of the 12V battery?

State of health or state of charge? they're different.

I think we've been told there are now "state of health" alerts in the car, when the car thinks the 12v is getting marginal?

I haven't seen one myself (and will do an agressive 12v replacement, which will come up in about 6 months)

I would love / expect / hope those alerts show up in fordpass too....

I got the 12 V alert once. It was minutes after the update that added the 12v alert.
I think installing the update lowered the 12v battery. I plugged in and charged for the day.
Never seen another 12v alert since then.

I just used the add a new driver option. It works well. I had already downloaded the app and created a user account for my wife. It made the app freak out. But it synced up eventually. FORD had my car for 7 months so I assumed everything was the old way. I hadn't checked this site or this forum. Note for others:

I like any updates and changes that move us forward but....my big request for the app would be to bring back the ability to send an address to the car for turn by turn. I used that a lot before they switched to the new app design and took it away.

Hey Brian, maybe add the 12v SoC for next update? That’d be swell. The bot “agent” is claiming that Ford is “unaware of 12v issues” with the Mach-Es. So I’d like to inform the human instead.

We’ve rolled out the newly designed FordPass® app to help you better manage your vehicle remotely, and we are continuing to deliver new enhancements! We wanted to let you know about the most recent updates – ‘Dark Mode’ and a new way to invite additional drivers to access your vehicle!

‘Dark Mode’: Ford customers with iOS devices will enjoy a sleek, new visual experience in the FordPass app called ‘Dark Mode’. The app’s interface can switch to a dark color scheme, using dark grays, blacks and muted colors for the background and text.

New Authorization: Ford customers using FordPass can now invite additional drivers such as friends and family to access their vehicle straight from the app for a more seamless experience. Previously, friends and family had to request access. Once friends and family have access, they can lock/unlock the vehicle, start the vehicle and view fuel/battery levels. Here is what you need to know:  

To invite a new user to access your vehicle:

1. Open the FordPass app and tap Settings on the home screen
2. Tap Vehicle Access
3. Tap Invite at the top of the Vehicle Access page
4. Enter the new user’s email address and send the invite

For the friend/family receiving the invite, they just have to:

1. Download FordPass mobile app
2. Create an account with the same email that the invitation was sent to
3. Tap “Accept Invitation” in the invitation email

Did anyone else read the new FordPass user license requirements - all the tracking (trips, driving habits, and other "cringe analytics" and the authorization to Ford to sell / share driver and owner data to marketing alliance parties (insurance companies and others). If you decline and turn-off tracking data in car Ford Sync - no Ford navigation and other built-in features as well as Ford.com website portal features. Can't wait for my lease to end and then ripping Ford on 2-year experience via Google Reviews with this 2024 POS Mach-E.
