FordPass vs sync priority on charging

I set my charge in sync to “At. Home -100%”for a long trip last week. Afterward I reset it to 80% at home on FordPass. Went out in the morning and it was back up,to 100. Checked FordPass charge setting and it was at 80. Had to set it to 80 on Sync (4.1.2) to get FordPass control again.
What is going on?

Unfortunately, this has been an on-going issue with the FordPass app. The app is not reliable for charge settings. There seems to be some @Ford Motor Company server-side issue that sometimes doesn’t send the settings to the car. ?‍?

Make all changes to anything that matters in the car and not on FordPass. You’re much more likely to get the desired result that way.

Instead of changing your home charge location max charge, just use the one-time "Charge to 100%" button in FordPass. I've had pretty reliable usage of this when preparing for a trip.
Like it was said above, FordPass has server issues and its not always apparent in the app that changes were not transmitted.

Anything that has to go through Ford servers for blessing pretty much a cluster here.

So you go out in -10F and do it in the car. Not like we bought a premium vehicle or should assume sending a schedule through the app should actually work. Been going on a for months now and a bit of a shame but at this point not really unexpected.

I don’t disagree with the rather strange notion that it should work through FordPass. Unfortunately, it does not. The actual reasons as to why are unknown to me.

Could be worse though. My scheduled departures never works through FordPass and only about 25% of the time when set in the Car.

Same here. Departure schedules is the one I used all the time last winter and a lot more than changing the charging schedule. Varying it and sending it through the phone as my departures change all the time was nice and felt like I had a high tech car. This winter I just pissed around with it for a month trying to get it to work and then gave up. Can not make work what does not. Not working at all from the app and not working well setting it sitting in a freezing cold car.
