Forgot Valet PIN

Long story short I’m an idiot. how do I get out of valet mode without the PIN? 21 Mach E.

Not sure. I never use valet mode, but I remember seeing videos showing it on the main screen in FordPass.

If you start the car with the fob does it take it out of valet mode?

The valet pin was set with the fob in the car. Starting with PAAK or the FOB will both boot directly to the valet screen

It should automatically disable once it detects a valid PaaK.

its definitely not doing that. I went in with just the paak and it’s still asking for the valet pin

You might want to kill and re-launch the FordPass app. Normally you get a message in FordPass Message Center that will tell you the code. When a valet brings my car to me and it detects my key, it see a message on the center screen asking if I want to exit Valet mode.

Does FordPass tell you it is "connected" to the car?

no dice. Reset the app, restarted my phone.
No new messages or anything in the FordPass app indicating that it is in valet mode. The car is also just asking for the valet pass

Maybe pulling the negative battery for a few minutes would do the trick?

Nope, still same..

still stuck with no access to trunk. Really weird my app isn’t acknowledging the car is in valet mode
