You know what? I am very happy you pointed this out, because it is not making sense to me why this should be changed at all. Leave it at 0 for now and allow me to time to dig into this a bit.
Confirmed that the value we were using before is correct. I amended the post to retract that statement.
I needed that to enable ALC but it ist still missing something presumely in the GWM.
I suspect the same thing.

Thanks for your confirmation, as now I don’t need to try this out myself 😁

I need to give the Steeringwheel a little impulse to start the assisted lanechange when I use the turnsignal first.
My personal opinion is that this behavior is not a bug (to be fixed in future) but a fully intended feature, at least for the European market.
I say this, as it reminds me of what we had for the blue bubble drive mode before: Each ~30s you got reminded to put your hands on the steering wheel. What the system here was doing was to sense micro-movements you did with your hands, i.e. working slightly against the motor doing the lane centering.

With BC and the assisted lane change, I believe that the system again does the same: it wants to make sure that you have your hands on the steering wheel when the lane change is triggered. And this to ensure that in case the lane change gets interrupted by the system, the driver will be able to take over control immediately.

For me this works, as I’m anyway not driving fully hands-free. I rather have my left hand loosely at the steering wheel, even when triggering the assisted lane change. And this helps, as I don’t need to give any small impulses to the wheel to start the lane change.

Just try it out: have your hands on the wheel for some seconds, set the blinker, and I bet that now the system will initiate the lane change.

Is this fully hands-free lane change? Certainly not, but that’s also not promised under „assisted“ 😁

R U in the german MME Forum as well?
