The workaround is to set the mirrors to your desired tilt position and store it to button 3 (or any preset you don’t otherwise use). When you want to back up, just press 3.

That's not a bad way of achieving it, good suggestion. I'll just have to tell my son that button 3 is no longer his profile for the car

Yes you have to have the the mirror adjustment button pressed (lit up) for whichever mirror you want to tilt. Then that mirror will tilt when you reverse. That's how all tilt-on-reverse mirrors I've ever used work. Has been working great on my MME since I set it up a while ago. I don't know why Ford doesn't enable this stuff from the factory.

I followed this post. It is a little involved since you have to do the steps with the car after you’ve made the changes in Forscan.

If you’ve made the correct changes in Forscan and enabled the feature in Sync then perhaps you need to revisit the steps in the car and make sure you followed those correctly?

It works I didn't know about the process of learning the mirror to the rear position (Part C - Programming Reverse).

Now I did it and Everything works.

I disabled the double honk and activated backup tilt the other day. I toggled the backup tilt on and synced the correct position to my profile and everything worked just fine. However today it didn’t work and when I went to the settings I saw that the toggle was automatically switched off. I switched it on, tried it and everything worked as it did earlier. I stepped out of the car and suddenly heard that god-awful double honk.

Does anyone know why the backup tilt toggle resets itself and why the disabled double honk came back?
