NEMA 10-50. 60A breaker.
Okay, now we're getting somewhere. That's not a dryer outlet. A 10-50 is an old-style electric range outlet. That's why this is working for you. Technically, that outlet should be using a 50A breaker since the outlet itself could melt if there's a problem before the breaker trips. You want the breaker to be the weakest link in the chain.

A 50 Amp receptacle on a 60 Amp breaker is not code-compliant.
I’m feeling bad for even mentioning it! I’ve owned the home for 8 years. So far so good.

As long as there are no faults or overloads, you don't even need a breaker. :D
It's likely you'll never have an issue.

I mean, it's your house that will burn down, not ours. Just trying to help, good grief
