I owned two Ford pickups in the past. Both had a front seat armrest JUST like the ones on the front in the Mach E's. Both of them ended up breaking with a few lean-ins with some weight behind them. I'm concerned that I'll always have to be watching for this for this one as well. The pivot mechanism looks just as delicate as my pickup's did..

Any thoughts or experiences on this?

I haven‘t seen any reports of one breaking.

I’ve had it all apart because I recovered the pad in gray alcantara to match the rest of the interior and added a wireless phone charger under it. The support is all metal and fairly heavy duty. I heavily lean on it when getting in the car and haven’t had any issues with it.

I'm 240lbs and use it daily. Not even a creaking noise. I lift my but over the seat by pivoting on that poor arm rest, it's a habit from my Gen2 Lightning days.

This is the feedback I was looking for. This is typically what I would do with my Ranger. It ended up breaking. So I'm glad they have improved it. Thanks!
