I get the error once in a while. I’m not wasting my time fixing it. It drives fine and will wait for some service interval to have the dealer look at it. I have been to the dealer more for this car than any other car I have ever owned.

After paying , I don’t know if problem will be fixed. If problem still exist they will replace something else and charge more
After 12 months and 7 visits to the garage they seem to have finally fixed the issue with a software update…….?

In case this helps anyone...

Not too long ago, I started getting the same errors, and noticed it was happening after a larger bump or jostling of the car. My car is a job1 '21 Premium with 30k miles. It started happening multiple times on every short to long drive. I read much of others' experiences and looked at Ford's testing of and repair/replace of the loose or damaged coax cable and tried to alleviate the problem myself.

--- EDIT: I realized I actually put the foam behind and on top of the COAX (not the camera itself) as it comes out of the camera.)

I removed the cover and the coax did not seem to be loose, or overly kinked, so I added some foam padding behind the camera module COAX and then on top of it to sandwich it in foam when the cover was replaced. My thought was to reduced vibration that I assumed was happening from larger bumps etc.

1000 miles in and I have had no camera fault etc. errors.

I hope this may help some of you with no apparent fix to this problem.

Interesting... could you share a photo in case some of us need to replicate?

Guys, there are now several threads about this. This bad news is that there are many people whose cameras eventually stop functioning permanently, but they start the way you described it.
Shy of replacing the cameras, Ford has NOT found a way to fix this problem yet.
If you have a different experience and they manage to permanently fix your camera, please let the community know what they did.
I’ve had my camera replaced and it continues to happen. Unfortunately the replacing of the camera is not a fix

Unfortunately I did not take a picture as it was a first attempt at a fix, but it has worked with no issues.

I used 1/2" packing foam and cut a piece that would be snug behind the camera. (EDIT: Foam behind and in front of the COAX, not camera body).

Then cut a similar piece for the top side to sandwich it in, and put the cover back on. I have not removed the cover since.

More than likely a backend issue on Ford's part here

So it looks like my DIY "fix" (rotating the camera coaxial cable) stopped working about 3 months. The camera fault/collision assistance errors came back. My 3-year bumper-to-bumper will end early next year for my Job1 2021 MME. I better go to the dealer this year and ask them to try out the TSB fix.

Thanks for the heads up, working with them to get a fix for my car. Stuck at the dealership for the last 30 days ?
Why do they keep your car for that long? Do they give you a loaner? Mine has been there two days for the PCA issue but I need it back so I can commute to work etc. Seems this problem is so wide-spread reading this thread they should recall. One technician when I made the appointment quoted "it's just a luxury feature" - yeah one we paid alot of $$$ for. ?

I keep thinking one of the software updates will fix this issue but after the last few not so much.
