Why do they keep your car for that long? Do they give you a loaner? Mine has been there two days for the PCA issue but I need it back so I can commute to work etc. Seems this problem is so wide-spread reading this thread they should recall. One technician when I made the appointment quoted "it's just a luxury feature" - yeah one we paid alot of $$$ for. ?
Yes they have me a loaner. In my case it was the wiring.

Now that we see all these posts, it could be that wiring needs the simple foam backing to keep it in place.

They are trying to say that a scratch on the front bumper caused the camera to be "knocked out of bracket from impact". To my knowledge there has never been an impact - and the scratch appeared one year ago (I have photos - likely someone dinged me in my parking garage - it is a very small scratch below the front driver side light). They are trying to say my fault and charge me $500.

They did fix it and it is working fine. Backed off from the impact theory. However the unit that houses the camera had a small dent. that could have been caused by pot holes or speed bumps etc, have never had any impact in the vehicle thankfully. For now I am just thankful it is working again and had a discussion that if it goes out again it certainly is due to something else!

Just as another data point, I was getting the front camera and pre-collision assist failure messages every time I drove, sometimes before I even put the car into drive. It even triggered in our driveway when my wife flipped the passenger's side visor up.

Anyways, I got a trim tool set and used one of the bits to pop the cover off, and this is how it looked:

Ford Mustang Mach-E Front Camera Fault & Pre-Collision Assist Not Available Errors 1689568326891

The coax cable is definitely pressing up against the glass. I rotated it counter-clockwise until it was "floating" and made sure to press in the connectors. I'm sure over time it may rotate itself back into the "bad place" and I'll find some way to mitigate that, either with foam as suggested earlier or maybe just a quick dab of hot glue or a little strip of tape.

Either way, ever since I adjusted the cable, I haven't had a single fault.

Interesting. Our car has this issue daily as well.
Would you mind clarifying where this access to coax is located? Thx.

I just tried this exact fix, will update in a day or 2 if it resolved my error messages. I put a piece of foam between the cord and glass.

Since putting in the piece of foam between the wire and the glass, I have had no problems with the error messages. There were certain roads I commute on that would have a big bump that would almost always throw the ACC off and send those error messages. This seems to have fixed these issues. Let's hope they stay away for good.

I also tried your idea. Camera module was hot. And wires was definitely touching the hot glass. I put some foam tape. Next day had no faults. Unfortunately today I'm getting these. Precollision assist and front camera unavailable again. Going to a dealer. Never had this issue before. Also had some hot days before with no issues. I feel like recent update has something to do with it. Rather it being mechanical.

I have been getting these errors a lot recently. Driving on the highway and they pop up then go away within 3 minutes. Should I have this checked out? I figured the dealer would want the car to be displaying the error message when I take it in, but it fixes itself after 3 to 5 mins of driving.
I had the same issue, 6 months after purchase is when it all started. I brought it in a couple times and it was "fixed", but never was. Now it it completely out and no functional. It should of been replaced from the beginning from what I'm seeing others have experienced. In my case I'm being told since I'm out of warranty, all on me. Even though it was a preexisting issue that was addressed. I have contacted for and am awaiting approval for my rental and cost of parts. If this doesn't pan out definitely going the arbitration lemon law route. Fits the definition to a t.

I removed the black cover and the problem went away. I have not received the error codes since. I believe the heat and the cover are forcing the wire to bend or touch something it shouldn't be. The dealership blamed my after market wires for my front dash camera as the issue when I took it in 6 months ago.

What black cover? Inside by the sunglass holder?

Yea. Just when I got the fault, I removed the cover by the rear view mirror, as soon as a touched the cable going into the camera. The fault went away. Im almost certain this has something to do with it. If it happens again I can pin point if it's the actual cable or the connector.

Just an update, I still have had no issues even on days where driving directly into the sun. It seems the padding I put between the glass top and the wires did the trick. I can't believe something so simple was causing those errors.
