18 months into my '23 Job 1 and I have this issue!

Started out once a month then once a week.
Now it's twice or more a day.

Trying to locate a So Cal dealer that knows about this issue and will fix this issue.

Seems like service depts are avoiding this issue when I mention TSB 23-2155....

Were you able to find a dealership that would do the work? I'm in LA.

Just got my car back from the dealer after the second attempt to fix it. First visit they replaced the cable and the IPMA. Second visit they found the eye nanny camera was bad, I could not get BC to work for more than a few seconds. But even after this last visit, it is failing on every drive, except of course on the drive home from the dealer, I was able to BC on the freeway with no messages.

Yes, Upland Ford did the work.

Took them 11 days when it should have been less even after printing out the TSB for them.

At least the Hyundai Ioniq5 EV rental was paid for....

Hi, I have a 2021 Mach-e that has had this problem ever since I bought it in 2023, intermittent at first and now constant error messages. We brought it to two different dealers while it was still under warranty. The first dealer couldn’t/didn’t fix it (and is now out of business). The second dealer was dealing with the cyberattack the day we had an appointment (we live 2 hours away from the nearest dealer), so they sent us home without even putting our car in their system (since the system was down). Now the car is out of warranty and Ford is saying they will not cover the TSB repair needed. Has anyone had any luck getting this issue fixed under warranty in similar circumstances? I can’t believe Ford knows this is an issue but won’t stand behind the car and cover the needed fix, especially when I brought it to a Ford dealer for the issue when it was still under warranty. Help!

I'm in the same boat here. Took it to the dealer while under warranty, they "fixed it" for about a month. Then it was out of warranty.

I played with the cable connection on the camera after reading about it potentially not being routed right and it went away for a little over a month but then came back.

I am surprised Ford hasn't called this issue a recall or CSP extension as it appears to be affecting '21-'23 model years.

They are only going to do a recall if they are forced to. They won't do it out of the goodness of their heart.

I was in a similar boat. scheduled the appointment, brought it in, while under warranty, but they said their "EV TECH" was on vacation for the month and told me to come back. When I did it was past the warranty and they wouldn't honor it.

I ended up calling Ford and speaking to someone in repairs. The initial cost for the repair was $3000+. The Ford service team offered to discount the repair so I only paid $1000. Since then it's been back for the same service twice, both under the extended warranty, which I bought after the issue above was diagnosed, so it wasn't covered (because I assumed it would be covered because I brought it in before the warranty expired).

Really hoping that Ford does a full recall and I'm able to get that money and the $100 deductible for the other 2 repairs.

Double check that you have the right warranty. I went through this as well, and they kept saying the part was an under warranty. Then the one service person that I finally went to and had a head on his shoulders. I did a little research and found out that the dealership sold me a gas vehicle Extended warranty instead of electric. So double check that you have the correct warranty.

After four weeks of a third dealer visit, mine is finally fixed. It has been broken for well over 6 months. I changed dealers on this last visit, they seemed to know what they were doing.

Coax cable replaced twice, IPMA module replaced, nanny camera replaced, pedestrian sensor replaced, and finally PACM module replaced.

I still need another OTA to fix the BlueCruise 1.3 settings that will not stay on.

AZBill, assuming you're in AZ, which final dealer? Also, can you confidently say whether the final change (PACM) was the real trick? I have 3000 of these faults in our FordPass history... Ugh. Thanks!

Rodeo Ford in Goodyear fixed it. I had been using Surprise Ford previously. The PACM was the last fix they applied. The pedestrian sensor issue may have been related to that, but they tried replacing that first, according to the paperwork I got. The paper work indicated the PACM had an internal fault.

Just when I thought I was in the clear this happened again. I am not interested in paying over 3 grand for it. There isn't any new info on a potential recall is there?

Seems like this issue would be ripe for a class action lawsuit against @Ford Motor Company. Any lawyers on this forum?

The biggest issue I have now is that my vehicle is out of warranty. So I'm taking a chance on a potential safety issue here because I'm unwilling to pay what I assume will be an ungodly cost to diagnose and fix an intermittent issue. In my experience, Ford techs give up on things that happen so infrequently. So I'd be paying for nothing.

Even though it happens a couple of times a week...

I have a new issue now that might be related. Blue Cruise will just cancel itself, without any warning at all, on the highway. It seems very dangerous, and it is a new issue. I use BlueCruise correctly with my hands on the wheel at all times and paying attention to the road. I know what the warnings sound like. In this case I don't get them. The car just cancels BC immediately and slows down immediately in the middle of the highway.
