Frozen Directions beside odometer?? Help

2024 Mach-e. I use Google Maps often and the directions now show up on the screen behind the steering wheel. I guess this was in an update recently? What’s happening is those directions get frozen and don’t change for the duration of the trip? Any tips or insight into why and how to fix? Thank you.

I’m not an expert.

Try rebooting sync and if that doesn’t work then disconnect the 12v.

If that happens, enter a destination into the car's navigation system, then end navigation with the red X on the screen. That should clear it.

I had this happen once with Apple Maps. I did the IT thing: turned it off and then turned it back on. Worked.

It hasn’t happened again so I just chalked it up to gremlins.

Its been happening to me too since the last iOS update.

I had this happen a year or two ago. I had to resort to shutting the car off, counting to ten, and restarting. Rebooting the central display with vol-down+next-track didn’t fix it.
