Does anyone see any value in removing the frunk and giving all the components in the "engine" bay a good cleaning like you would do with a typical ICE vehicle? The area under my frunk is getting really dust at 16k miles. Just a thought.

Of course - when you take your car to the concours, the judges will be looking at that. As well as the condition of the pop-out rivets.

I am guessing - and this is 100% guessing - that if that had to be done, it would be somewhere in the maintenance schedule. But that's not the same as "should" or "want to", of course.

fwiw over 9 vehicles (maybe more, I'd have to think about if I'm forgetting one), I've never felt the need to do such a cleaning in my ICE vehicles, either. Never seemed to be dirty enough - although I wasn't exactly taking them to car shows or anything, either (nobody at a car show cares about an Escort GT ;)).

Yeah, I know that it is not necessary... but at least on an ICE vehicle you get the benefit of having a clean looking engine that's easier to see if there is anything wrong or broken, plus I've heard that having a clean engine is easier to cool because it's not caked with grease and grime. But, considering that everything is covered and there's really no grease, then there might not need to be a reason at all to clean out the bay.

Do you think spraying it down with a hose would hurt anything? I don't use the frunk but I did open it the other day to put some washer fluid in the reservoir. I had no idea how dusty and dirty it had gotten under the hood.

No, I've done that a few times.

Spraying a hose in the frunk area is fine.

Removing the frunk and spraying a hose I would think carefully about (and see no reason to do).
