I pick up my new 23 Premium AWD Extended Range car tomorrow. In mid-January we are out of the country for 6 weeks. My car will be garaged, but outdoor temps may be frigid. Any advice on leaving it? Do I intermittently charge it remotely or just leave it be?? Thanks so much

If you do what the manual says, you leave it at 50% charge, unplugged, with the 12 volt battery disconnected.

If you're not going to do all that, then you should leave it plugged in at 50% or so. If you can't leave it plugged in, then you SHOULD be fine.

Park it with the high voltage battery between 40-60% and leave it unplugged. If you leave the car plugged in, sometimes it will accidentally charge to 100% while you're gone which would be bad for the pack.

Disconnecting the 12V battery is optional, it will probably be fine.

It's a common misconception that plugging in the car will charge the 12V battery. It's more complicated than that (it will only change when it needs to regardless of plug status).
