Is anyone else experiencing odd estimates from the GOM after the recent updates? Mine have been all over the place since it updated a little over 2 weeks ago. I drive the same route every day to work, get the same efficiency every day and up to the latest update, pretty much had roughly the same estimated range every day except when it got real cold (320-330 at 100%). Now it it’s all over the place and doesn’t seem to make any sense. Leave for work in the morning at 58 degrees and have it say an equivalent of 298 miles at 100%. Leave work at 74 degrees and it displays and equivalent of 250 miles at 100%. Every day since the update it can swing all over the place, and strangely gets lower when it gets closer to ideal temperature. Meanwhile I have an efficiency of 3.9 over the last 9000+ miles and I’m still maintaining that level. This morning I dropped my kid off down the street at school and it had an equivalent estimate of 298 at 58 degrees. Had an efficiency of 5.8. Left for work an hour later and it was showing an equivalent of 268 at 65 degrees. By the time I got to work (35 miles) it had gone up to an equivalent of 298. But when I went to move it 2 hours later because a charger was available, it was now down to 275 at 74 degrees parked a garage.
I know the GOM is a guess, I’ve had the car for 18 months and have almost 30k on it so I don’t need all the sarcastic replies about leaking electrons and putting tape over it. I’m just wondering why it’s swinging all over the place and how this is supposed to be more accurate.
