So I was one of the earliest among joining "Stop Safely Now" issue which many people are now facing. Dealership kept the car for 4 months, waiting on parts which took forever. Ford provided me with a Fusion Hybrid 2020. One of my main concerns is would i get back any monthly payments, I did on the car while it was at the dealership ? I've got list of repairs which, I think is effective for the Stop Safely Now issue.

Did you contact Ford customer service prior? Or during the time the car was away.

We were able to have Ford issue us a visa card equal to a payment (since our car was being worked on) - but we were also in constant contact with corporate throughout and asked to offset any monthly payment for as long as our car is not in our possession.

Keep in mind Ford Financial is a separate entity than Ford Corporate and they may also advise you to work with your financial institution directly.

Yes I have been in contact with Ford Customer Service since the issue started. They asked me to wait until the car arrives. So I was wondering if anyone else got the payments covered. Thankyou for the info.

I paid cash so can not help you on the payments but I charged from 29% to 85% last night and the 12V is sitting at 13V this morning. Left it sitting unplugged for a few days and it came on unplugged and charged the 12V once. Those are new and it is definitely charging the 12V better here now. I see it charging the 12V when driving also to up over 90% soc while this winter before the BECM and the HVJB replacements it would struggle to reach 80% soc on the 12V. Also it would draw wall power for 10 to 12 hours when cold trying to charge a 12V (electric bill was up). Now I have seen it do it's thing "preparing to drive" in under an hour. First signs are is it is a lot better.

I had P0AA2 also and we are 2 that are stuck open as many here were P0AA1. Now we wait for next winter testing. If they let the 12V go down to 40% soc in -30C it may not be truly fixed. I assume they know what the aqueous part stands for when it is an acid in aqueous solution electrolyte.

Two things I have learned is that it functions in harmony with a 15amp 12V charger on it 24/7 and that the dealer can read my codes when the car is sitting here. No need to go in. After the replacements the car is working well, paak and all, and right now I really have nothing here to complain about. It is working as it should have. Hoping the same for you and it is over for both of us.

Yes, thankyou so much for insightful responses. I feel my paak is also working better and left vehicle unplugged for a few hours and 12v seems to have no issues so far. How it survives the winter is still a mystery. I saw list of repairs and it included Anti-Freeze along with HVBJB and BECM, which I don't they are adding in US vehicles. Does anyone has a clue?
