Grab assist bar doesn’t fold

My passenger side grab assist bar doesn’t fold back up after use. It hangs in the down position. Even if you fold it back up, it lowers again.

Is this an easy fix I can do, or dealer service order & appointment

The spring is loose or broken. If you're handy you can replace the spring. Should be under warranty though they replace it all the time

If the dealer is far away and the fix is easy.

I was asking if it was just an easy fix like sticking a screwdriver in a spot somewhere to release a spring or something.
Service appointments are weeks out and no matter the issue, they have the car for at least a day.
I’ll probably wait for the upcoming HVBJB recall and get it done at the same time.
