Great highway millage

Edit: so Fordpass lies, but even adjusted for less miles, based on what the car took and how far I went 2.8 mi/Kwh in winter at highway speeds is not too shabby.



I see these posts here on bad millage on the highway. Well I just did a round trip, from Westchester to Stamford and back, and got 5.1 mi/KWh. I did 62.5 miles and used 12.2 KWh.

But even if you factor in that I put back 13.4 (charger overhead) and less than 1Kw to precondition. So even 14.5Kwh total, I got 4.3 Mi/Kwh.

This is in the cold, driving a GTPE on the Hutch, at speed. I think that's damn good.

By the way after charging the car said I added 35 miles, even though I recharged from a 62.5 mile drive.

It's not possible to get 5.1 m/kWh, at highway speeds, period, much less in the winter.

That's the data not resetting the mileage, and doing bad math. Divide by miles by 2. You got 2.5 - 2.6.

Also, it's mileage. Millage is a property tax term.

My Ford pass app is very inaccurate. Note the unbelievable difference in electricity consumption. Same day return trip. Quite laughable.

Ok, you may be right but I think on pure driving, looking at what was taken by car to recharge (11 Kw) is 2.8 which I still think is great for highway driving at speed in winter.
