I have a GT (non PE) built on 11/19/21. I took it to the dealer in the hopes of getting the charging curve software update. Got the same answer: "Your car is up-to-date on all software and there are no available software updates - including the 21P22 update." I explained that is not true and I definitely don't have the charge curve update. They just said I would have to wait for an OTA. I did not offer to pay for it. But, I got the impression they didn't want to mess with it since FORD told them over the phone that the car is up-to-date and not to do anything. I don't think they know how to update just some software modules within 21P22.

Am I stuck waiting for an OTA to update the charging curve? (not willing to try updating myself).
How did you get the dealership over the hump to make the update? For free, no less?
Why would they do 21P22? Your vehicle isn’t part of that program, it’s pretty clear.

No Sync updates have been released for Job 2 cars yet.

I can check to confirm that they did all available updates if you want to send me your VIN.
PMed thank you!

This is all that's still on the list for your car. And the PSCM is known to stick in the list, so I wouldn't worry about that one. Looks like your dealer really did run everything. That's rare!

For what it's worth, I already knew there were updates to do before I signed anything. Part of my deal with them was a second charger for free (since the ford was is pretty decent at 240v, and they have cost pricing) and alllllll the updates done. They told me all of them were done. They also told me after I had proof the updates were there in FDRS that their FDRS showed zero updates. I pushed for weeks, and finally yesterday brought the car in, they hooked it up and found 12 updates including all the ones I had shared. They stated during the update process more updates were coming in. Not sub updates, but that modules would update and then more would appear in FDRS. No idea what if any of that is true, but I do know the tech was on it all day long. Hopefully soon I'll know for sure what was done.

It was a 9 hour ordeal with a cleared out PCM. But yes it certainly seems like they did. I'll know more when I test fast charging, and it could just be me but the acceleration curve feels smoother and the auto-hold feels more graceful releasing. One thing Tesla has dialed in is that go pedal.

Good thing they didn't try to charge you the 9 hour shop rate. They really should list a "feature" of the Mach E as "begging for updates".

Update:
A strange thing happened at a recent unrelated service visit to the dealership, but in the process the charging curve software update was completed/activated.
Unfortunately, my GT had the Shift System Fault issue, which required my Gear Shift Module to be replaced. During that repair they updated the GSM software. Somehow during that process they inadvertently updated the charge curve software. I know this because we recently began a trip and I tried again to see if the charge speed drops after 80% SOC - and it didn't (charged at 45kWh rate up to 85% - I didn't charge past that level so I don't know what happens after that). Maybe, it was always there (as the dealer had indicated) and the software updates "activated" it. Or, it loaded without them knowing it. The report from the service had a bunch of error codes and software update codes in the description.
Anyway, I am happy and the new charge curve is working great. So helpful on this trip so I can make it between some long distances between a few charging stops.
