Ford Email - Software Updates. Anyone else get this?

I am still Stuck with "Failed" at 1.7.1 since early December. I hope it means that something is coming to fix that or it is a cruel joke. It could mean BC coming soon too.

I got it a couple minutes ago. I have been lucky with updates as I've received all of them so far.

Just got it 1 minute ago.

Note how the top left says "What to do before a Software Update", but there is no info...

This email is great. So you can go pickup the kids, parking in a 10 minutes stop in the pouring rain, and lock the car. Come back out and you can't unlock it, or move it, for 30 minutes...

Or, you can go to the grocery store, but can't lock the car...

Nope. The email says "Many of our Software Updates happen seamlessly in the background while you are driving. Other updates are owner‑initiated by selecting “Update Now” on your Mustang Mach‑E touchscreen or by setting a recurring schedule."

It won't lock you out by surprise

I just got it. I have a job 2 car with no bluecruise. I doubt I get any updates for a long time or at least until job 1 cars are caught up

I would just be glad to get past 1.7.1, which I have been stuck in since late November, 2021!!!

Ford said it would be fixed by the end of February.

They have 20 days. I really hope they can get this fixed!

The email is so vague and seemed to me to basically be sent as a CYA message from their lawyers making sure you understood that some updates may cause you to not be able to drive or lock your car.

I wonder what most owners would think about it -- I bet most expect an OTA in the next day, but that's probably far from Ford's purpose in sending it.

I received it as well. My hope is that it means good things incoming .

I wonder what most owners would think about it -- I bet most expect an OTA in the next day, but that's probably far from Ford's purpose in sending it.
