Removing it will probably leave holes to fill and repaint.
I don't think a repaint will be needed.
Between handles and the door there is a rubber seal.
As the handles are probably screwed from the inside, I presume that holes could be filled simply with flathead screws of the same diameter or plastic caps.

If accessing to the inside of the door is not too difficult, I might think of removing the handles on my FE.

With no handles at all, the car body will be smoother…
And may be you can gain a little extra of range with a better aerodynamics? ?

I’ve checked the handles yesterday and they are a bit steep on the front-side of the handle but at the B-style they are flat on the inside what means that it can collect dust and rain drops.
Driving does not automatically clean it up (airflow/rain).

It's only a matter of time till an OEM sells a handle replacement that matches the rest of the trim.

The mini-handles look fine to me. I won't be removing mine. Removing them might add, what, 79 feet of range? ?
ok I just want to make sure everyone understands this is a joke. Please don't add 125 posts to the thread debating if it's 79 feet or 78 feet. I am begging you...

see this? I am on my knees begging.

Well duh. It's not 78 feet. It's also not 79 feet. It's 72.3 feet.

You'll either have to repaint, do a really good job smoothing that little spot with the holes, or install some sort of accent piece over the holes -- maybe another pony badge?

BTW, the door panels are made with the holes in them for the handles.

You are right. One can't let such a beautiful car with ugly details such as holes or not matching color screwheads .

In this case, I presume that the rubber gasket is black and the portion under the handle is in the continuity of the seal along the the glass window.
Black painted flathead screws or black plastic caps should do the job.

The hardest job should be removing the inside door panel to access the screws that secure the handle.

I will wait to have my FE first before considering such a thing. I am not so reluctant to how these handles look.

I think I'd find an exposed screw head like that (even painted) to be more of a blemish than the handle itself.

I was just hoping that the handle would not have a flat surface that may hold dirt and water. Other vehicles I have owned have had places around the front and rear that hold water on their flat surfaces and I have never understood that design. Yes, I detail my own cars, obsessively.

I agree with you.

I won't do it if the result looks bad.

And as others say, there might be third party kits to… handle ? this.

The version you show in that picture is the final version that will come on all 2021 cars.
