Has the Map Stopped Working in Your FordPass App?

I noticed yesterday when I select the map in the FordPass app, the app just continously thinks. If it is looking up charging stations, route planning, trying to filter, etc. nothing ever happens.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I'm running on 3.19 for Android. Just curious if others are having the issue as well.

Looks like something is amiss. No maps in mine, running iOS. .

No map, and my "Journeys" are gone as well. Says none have been recorded, which wasn't true a few hours ago before the update.

One step forward, six steps back.

I just tried mine and it is working fine.

Edit: I also just confirmed that I updated my app on 3/25/21 so I am using the latest version.

Same problem for me with a Raptor. I just chatted with tech support and they aren’t considering an issue until others chat or call in. They want me to do a hard reset in the truck and repair the modem. This is NOT the problem. Please call or chat to report this.

Yup version 3.19 on Android appears to have broken map and location data. Ford is aware of the issue, now lets see how long it takes them to fix it.

Known issue. It's not just Android or Apple, it is a problem with their maps on the app on both sides. Maybe a license issue with their API key or something?. I heard they are working on it and have a fix coming in the next couple days.

Car location is also affected in the app.

Hope this helps:
  • Open FordPass
  • Select Vehicle
  • Click on My Journeys
  • Select Summary
  • Go to settings
  • Select the first setting that reads “Automatically via Applink

I talked to one of my contacts at Ford -- who reached out to the Ford Pass team. They know about the map issue (I sent them the link to this thread). They have a new app version that should correct it that should be out shortly (the estimate was possibly by Tuesday). Of course pinning those release timings down can get tricky since it also depends on app-store approval.

3.19.1 just became available on my iPhone. I entered the App Store and searched for FordPass. The App Store acted like my version was up to date. However, when I clicked on the app name to open it, I now had an update available. Updating to 3.19.1 fixed the issue of maps not working.
