To clarify, it hasn't connected. Just says connecting. So same status as earlier. I haven't checked but quite likely PAAK is not going yo be working.

Just meant you were able to get the physical fob and not be stuck that's all. I understand the problem is the same

Happened to me a couple times a month. Rebooting my phone always fixes it. Don't think it's car. It's app/phone side. Sometimes just closing app, force stop app and opening app again fixes it. Reboot always fixes it for me.

It's great that it fixes it for you, but I think we see totally different problem when the car doesn't reboot the console. The next step is to disconnect the 12v battery and reboot the system that way.

Maybe overnight charge and deep sleep will cure it and everything will be normal in the morning?

The last update made paak a little less reliable. I’ve been locked in my car with the alarm going off twice now because paak loses connection before I start the car haha. I’ve also had to use the backup code at least once a week for the last month, normally it might be once every couple months.
The passcode prompt should have popped up. According to ford all you have to do it hit the brake pedal and if no key is detected it should display the prompt. The only time it hasn’t shown up for me was in the early days when everything was buggy. Rebooting sync would have probably fixed it for you, maybe you didn’t hold the two buttons down long enough. It takes a while.

I had the same thing happen to me...I had to have my son bring me up my FOB. Ford was no help

I had this happen also. Was able to have my spouse remote unlock and lock via her FordPass and then the car would connect via paak.

The has happened to me as well when I was going home from work. Luckily I keep a tool kit in the car. I disconnected the 12v battery and the car recognized my phone.

So, what is the update? Did you merely obtain the fob (somehow), and then drove home?
Is PaaK working now?

When I received my iPhone 15, I did not bother setup PaaK. Afterall, my house key and mailbox key is on my fob. So, it is always with me...

I have had one occasion before where PAAK wasn't recognized even though the phone said connected. I walked away from the car. Let it lock and go back to sleep, and about 10 minutes later I tried again and it worked fine

Yep, been there before. Actually yesterday. No matter what I do the car will not start, reboot the phone, the app, etc. Grab my back up key start it and 99.93% of the time the next time I get in it works fine. The .07% I have to pull fuse #5.
Sounds like the OP did everything right as far as planning for the worst case. I am curious if trying to start the car with your Bluetooth off would help. I say that because when my car won't start my fordpass app says connected, I am curious if that is confusing the car. Now I typically give up quickly and grab my backup key but I will test that next time.

I'm at work and don't have the fob. The car is showing no key detected but the option to enter password is not coming up. I wa able to get the car to connect to my phone and the display is active and android auto is working..

I may be late, simply force your phone to lock and unlock. This has always worked for me.

Can anyone post the link to the instructions on how to disconnect the 12v battery? I cannot for my life recall how to do this..last time I did this was a couple of years ago. I have the panels removed in the frunk. thanks.
