Hi all,
I have a Thule "helium" hitch bike rack (pic here) and am trying to decide between the Curt or the Draw-Tite receivers (here).

The Curt receiver looks like it might be a little bit longer and stick out farther from the back of the car. The end of the receiver needs to be at least 4.5" from the rear of the "pin hole" to the edge of the bumper or the rack wouldn't fit on it without hitting the bumper (I hope I'm explaining this well enough). I really don't want to have to add an extension to the receiver if I don't have to. Any feedback on these two hitches would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I don’t have those hitches I got a draw tite hidden hitch but looking at a pic of your rack mounted to a subaru I don’t think you’ll have any issues with any of the hitches.

Although this post is older the question of fit is still ongoing. We installed the Curt yesterday which despite using ramps proved to be difficult. But we are happy with the clean look and today will install Thule folding tray T2 Pro and also Thule Helium to ensure they will fold flat up against the lift gate without touching it. If not will have to get short extension which I really don’t want to do. But the Curt looks like it sticks out the right distance. ETrailer price and delivery was very good;fast saving us $300 over local hitch store installation who were nervous about working on an EV. I have purchased numerous hitch brands over the years all of which have shown rust at year two. But we noticed right away this Curt version seems to have a thicker coating. We did not wire up lights as the hitch is for t-bar (canoe) in conjunction with roof crossbars and hitch bike racks.
