It's probably posted somewhere. I can't close my door because that thing is sticking out. (See picture) How do I solve this solution? Since I can't close the door, the chime continues to beep and I'm sure the battery will drain.

Also, if this happens and you can get the door to partially latch, press the release button to open the door and it will usually retract fully. You can also use a pen to flip the latch, then press the open button and wiggle the door to retract. Forcefully pressing the door closed will also work as outlined above, I just prefer the other methods.

The door presenters may not fully retract after an OTA or if the 12V power had been interrupted, until the doors are cycled and the vehicle is driven. There is a calibration process that has to occur.

Show it pictures of old, ugly women or men. That will usually do it.

Next time, push it in with your finger. Less chance of damaging things.

I am either weak or timid as the two times my 2023.5 has done it there was no pushing them in with fingers or forcing the door closed but, a three minute disconnect of the 12volt reset them as it does most everything else that seems oddly computer caused.

I am trying to picture the process you describe above.
"Use a pen to flip the latch" What latch? Along the edge of the door?
"Wiggle the door" In what plane? The hinges keep the door from being moved in the vertical plane. Do you mean grabbing the top of the window frame and the bottom of the door and try to wiggle it back and forth clockwise then counterclockwise? Or just swinging the door open and closed? I can't see how doing either thing will retract the presenter.

The latch is the mechanism in the door that locks around the striker on the B or C pillar. By pressing the latch outwards with a pen, you simulate the action of the striker engaging the latch, causing it to click into the closed position. This makes the car think the door is shut. You can then press the electronic button to release the latch. Once you wiggle or open the door a few degrees more on its hinges, the system detects this movement and retracts the door presenter. This method does not require forcefully retracting the door presenter.

Thanks, now I understand.
