But I don’t even know its name!
You haven’t experienced that before? I have held the noses of many Poodles whose names I didn’t know. ??

I'll just leave this here:

Dang, have the E in 8th vin spot.
guess I need to see if it’s worth backing out of my order (due in the next week or 3) and wait to order one with LFP??

You are the only one who can answer whether it’s worth it for you to wait longer based on your needs and lifestyle. Since my preference is for a model that cannot get the LFP battery my answer (for me) is probably different from yours. ?‍♂?

Please give us your take on a Goldendoodle. Is this the best of both worlds or is this just a science bastardization of the Poodle Breed?

if you want to go from a GT to a standard range Select or Premium, go for it. only standard range models are getting the LFP. LFPs are cheaper but less energy dense so the battery packaging fits only on the standard range.

Yoi didn’t ask me… but Doodles are for people who want to pay full price for a mutt with the worst breed characteristics from two separate breeds that are individually great breeds. ?

That's just how the world is now days. Take things that are good, and EFF it all up as a new thing and sell the crap out of it on INstagram.

Back when LFP was first announced some years ago, it was regarded as being good for things like PowerWalls but not so good for electric vehicles. It's cheaper to produce, but not as energy dense. In other words, your vehicle is either going to have less capacity or will weigh more for the same capacity, reducing range in either case. Since then, it is also regarded as being slightly safer (I believe specifically it's less prone to fires in the event of an accident).

LFP used to be undesirable; interesting to hear that someone would consider canceling an order and trying to get a vehicle with LFP batteries, instead. Eventually all vehicles will probably have them - until we get solid state batteries, anyway.

thanks To this discussion, and a little more research on the differences between batteries, the decision on waiting vs keep order (in transit) has been made. I’d prefer energy density/range and I’m set on a GT, so that settled.
Thanks y’all for the info!!
