I've noticed most dealers are still showing the pre-drop MSRP. The windows stickers apparently are not updated. This is probably more about how dealers pay for vehicles, but I'm trying to understand how the drop impacts them. One dealer has 3 GTs. 2 of them have the old MSRP, one has the new. They are listing the one with the new MSRP about 4k lower. When I asked why they said, "older ones will have the higher MSRP....to offset that Ford has released rebates on earlier built models". My assumption as I negotiate is that the dealer has (or will) pay the same amount for each Mach-e GT given the exact same options.

I think there might still be a hidden incentives on the ones with the higher MSRP. Last month the hidden incentive was $2000 on my Premium and $3000 on a GT. Rebates were $4250 and $6250. This month they both have a $3000 rebate and 0% financing for 48 months or 1.9% for 60 months. I think the sweet spot is a Premium with 0% for 4 years.

Bigger ADM for the dealers, I'm sure.

Depending on how your state assesses sales tax, the one with the lower sticker might actually be less if the rebates and incentives bring both cars to the same “price.” Here in CA, the state taxes the sticker price, plus mark-ups, less discounts. Incentives and rebates are exempt from tax, so you pay tax on the contract price. ??
