How much cheaper is your insurance when going to Mach-E?

My insurance dropped $245 per year coming from my Escape to my MME. I have used Progressive insurance and bundling everything certainly helps

Went down enough to increase my coverage without costing more.

Retired. I'd say it was a mid life crisis, but not many people live to 140.

Thanks. I ended up with State Farm for everything.
I hear people pick on State Farm sometimes, but I've never found a place that does better. Two houses and a car at State Farm, and it's just fine and cheaper than others.

People who talk me into getting rates, it turns out they can't do better.

They also have real, live Anglophones who answer the phone when you need, too. That's rare in 2023.

Mine almost doubled. Part of that is that my twin boys got their driver licenses this summer too. Bet the MME definitely made it go up. And I thought I was paying a high rate on my Flex because it was considered an SUV.

Went from a BMW X3 to MME. The X3 was $1k per year while MME was $1.8k per year, so almost doubled. Same coverages. Excuse insurance company gave is that MME is so much more expensive to repair in an accident, and the likelihood of it getting totaled in an accident is significantly higher (if there was any damage to battery pack).

No. I traded my GT PP1 2021 in and my Mach E insurance is MORE. Around $35 more. Probably because of all the electronics and such…

Our insurance went up $120/mo with the 2023 MME we swapped from a 2018 Explorer. Insurance company 800 number doing the change had no explanation, need to call our local home+auto agent at Farmer’s this week and figure out what’s going on, may have to switch.

Mine went up about $60/month, but I also have two teenage boys driving in the family. That probably doesn't help.

Mine went up 50$/6 months, replaced an ID4 (that's a whole other story), fortunately I have USAA.

My insurance dropped by around $25 a month when I switched to the Mach-E. My previous car was a gas-powered SUV, which had higher premiums. The Mach-E has more advanced safety features, which my Car insurance cost by state company took into account. Plus, I think the fact that it’s an EV, with lower mileage expectations, helped bring the rate down. I’m definitely happy with the savings—it helps offset the cost of going electric.
