How much space between windshield and screen?

I had an idea for my Mach-E but since it’s not here yet, I need some help. I wanted to put something in the area behind the screen. I know there’s some aftermarket storage boxes that are designed to go there, but could someone please measure the dimensions of the flat area behind the screen? I especially would like to see how tall something could be in that space. Also, what is the silver thing at the far right in the picture?

The silver thing is a speaker grill -- it's the center dash speaker.

How high does the screen sit above the dip? I want place something fairly short in there, but was more worried about the angle of the windshield. So at the flat area closer to the screen, what is the clearance? By that speaker, what is the clearance? If it is short enough, then it should not be too much more in the way than the screen.
