Is there a way to disable ACC from automatically changing its set speed when driving through areas where posted speed limits change?

i.e. I have the ACC set to 55mph. I'm driving along, and the posted speed limited changes to 70mph. The car automatically changes my ACC speed to 80mph. It does the same when entering areas with a lower posted speed limit. I kind of appreciate the thought here on Ford's part, but I find this feature annoying, and prefer to change the ACC speed myself.

Can anyone point me to the settings where I can disable this function? Many thanks guys.

You noted two problems.

First, the speed adjusting to 10 over can be set to anything from 0 to 10.

Second, having it not react at all can be turned off, as stated.

Hit the vehicle draw, settings, then Driver assist. You can turn it on or off, adjust the speed to the posted limit, plus or minus. Or use a simple cruise control. You can also change your lane keeping there.

The setting is referred to as “intelligent cruise control” and can be toggled on and off.

Not anymore. They've ditched that name. Now it's just the Speed Sign Recognition setting under Adaptive Cruise Control.

Ok, disabled speed sign recognition.

It’s a bit confusing as to what that toggle does. Recognizing the speed limit and automatically changing the preset speed on the cruise control don’t seem like the same thing.

Thanks for your help guys!
