You could just leave the car running and lock it using the keypad on the door. I think there is an option to remove the setting that automatically turns off the vehicle after 30-minutes. This will drain your HVB though.I need the 12v outlet in my trunk to stay on when I turn of and leave the, anyone know how to do that?
You will have to leave the ignition ON (not ACC) and disable auto shutdown. Take the key with you obviously and lock the doors.I need the 12v outlet in my trunk to stay on when I turn of and leave the, anyone know how to do that?
There is a small 12V battery under the hood in addition to the main high voltage battery. When the car is on, a DC/DC converter produces 12V from the high voltage battery (works like an alternator on a car). Just like a regular car you have to have the ignition ON to provide charging voltage and prevent the 12V battery from running dead when using larger 12V accessories.Leaving the car ignition "on" and disabling the auto off timers seems to do the job.
Does this 12v outlet drain the big main battery or some other battery in dont know about?
