How to put speed in center

2024 Mach e - don't know what update. I have seen a lot of posts complaining of the speed off to the side and the picture of the car in the center. I apologize if someone has already posted this.

On a trip a couple of days ago. Just started and a semi splashed some slush on the front end. Up pops a message that the adaptive cruise cameras were not working, so the cruise control stopped working. I pulled over and tried to wipe off all the little circles. Didn't help. Went into the car screen and turned adaptive cruise off and voila, cruise worked again.

But now, the speed is posted in the center of the dash. Under 30 mph, the surrounding is black. Above 45, it is shimmering dark blue surrounding the speed. Kinda cool. Was able to complete the boring 150-mile trip with cruise. Speed in center continues to stay there even when you tap the brakes as long as non-adaptive cruise is on. I also have lane centering turned off.

your speed wasn't centered because you had "Distance Indication" enabled under the Pre-Collision Assist section.

When your camera's got dirty the car disabled that as well which centered your speedo.

the issue people have is even with distance indication turned off they are stuck with a boring image of the vehicle and not the fancy graphics with centered speedo like we have.

There ya go everyone. Rad1234 found the corner case that Ford didn't test.

- Lane Centering off
- Cruise Control on
- block the front camera

Can the five people that are really upset about this stop complaining now?

The only way I have a centered speed indicator is (all must be true)
1. Lane Centering Off
2 Adaptive Cruise Control Off
3 Blue Cruise Off..

I honestly don't know why this bugs people so much. It's really not a big deal. I guess people just need a reason to complain about something. Next Ford will do an update to recenter it, then people will start complaining it's not off to the side anymore.

My speed is in the middle when I turn off distance indication and lane centering. I happen to like lane centering though so I always have it on.

I have tried all these different ways to fix it except FORScan , as I use Bluecruise.
The main issue is that the way seated and where I prefer steering wheel, I can’t see the speed without constantly moving my head. It is just bullshit that ford does not fix it. Many people have complained about this.

If I turn off lane center assist and turn off distance tracker the speed goes in the middle for me.

That is because you have a 2024. This issue plagues 2021-2023 owners.

2024 cars and beyond only. Earlier model years can no longer do that. It was changed with ota 6.8
