HVBJB on 2023

I see a lot of the posts about the HVBJB failures. My question is has this issue been resolved for 23 MY cars or is it still something I need to pay attention to?

It was resolved in May 2022. You shouldn't worry - but that doesn't mean it can't fail, some have.

Eh, mine failed and it’s a 2023. I hope they spent the couple extra bucks or cents on whatever component was failing because they already spent $2k + rental to replace mine.

I wouldn’t worry unless you have a GT or GT-PE, and even then it is what it is. Some people downright abuse their vehicle and it holds up like a champ, some people baby it and have a failure. Whatever systematic process allowed the decision to cheap out or whatever it was on a 75k vehicle (when I bought mine) has caused quite the black-eye on the program, and I hope Ford learns from this for gen 2.

2023s have a very low, but non-zero failure rate. You don't have to pay attention to it on a 2023, just drive how you normally would.

"resolved" is not exactly true. They still have failures, higher than normal. Rear wheel drive HVBJB failure is very very rare, it seems to only impact E4 and GT/GTPE, I have a 21 premium extended range AWD and am on my 3rd, First was the original part, the second replacement was the 'updated' part. Still a failure point and still the reason I will not take my car on long road trips.

Apologies for what may seem a dumb question but, do the dual motor MMEs only utilize one HVJB and therefore pull roughly twice the voltage through the same HVJB my RWD utilizes?

It’s current, not voltage. Not quit twice as much, but a lot more.
