I play not connecting

About one in seven times I start my 23 Mach E , (after plugging my phone into usb c outlet) the phone doesn’t seem to connect , usually , within a few miles it DOES .
Am I the only one with this issue ?

ALSO: I’ve been notified that Blue Cruise is going to start being a $49.95/ month subscription . It has always been free , and I don’t usually use it , but I think it’s unreasonable to charge for things that were originally installed on ANYTHING ….

I can’t tell if this is meant to be a joke or something serious?

If it’s serious, search the forum, or google it. People have been complaining about the price of the BC subscription. Ford just gave everyone a year for free. Unclear to me on who qualifies.

CarPlay has trouble connecting wirelessly from time to time. But never heard of wired not connecting.

BC has always been an add-on for extra $$. The only reason it was "free" when you got your car is because you were on a free trial. The window sticker and your Ford Account would have all said the same thing.

I have trouble connecting CarPlay wired from time to time. I usually unplug and plug in or reboot sync to resolve.

Sometimes I wonder if Sync just isn't ready to read USB devices.

For wired CarPlay not connecting, try a different cable and make sure the port on your phone is clear of lint/debris. The data connection is more finicky than the charging connection.

I was fortunate enough for 3 years free of all services except “connected services” which I feel is a total waste of $. BC I’d pay for on a as needed basis but not $50/month seems excessive.
