Only way I'm getting rid of my Mach-e is if they make an all-electric Maverick. The F-150 is too large for my needs (Cost is too high too). In the past I owned a Chevy Sonoma and I miss that small truck. Just the right size for driving around but I can throw my bike in the back to ride some trails.

I've also had amazing luck with Ford (fingers crossed/no MME whammies) with only a single 12v battery replacement over the past 16 years:

2008 Edge
2011 Edge
2013 Fusion Energi
2016 Fusion Energi
2019 Fusion Energi
2023 Mach-e

This forum can seem very negative but I'd rather know what to watch for and have near instant expertise to help if something goes wrong. We love our MME and look forward to see what Ford does next in this space.

My 2022 Mach-E Premium will be two years old in May. I will drive this awesome car for probably 10 years or so depending on circumstances, meaning accidents and need for something new. This car has given me everything and more than what I expected it to do, so far!

when I DO replace this car, it will because I want to get something new, or because I have an accident! This is one of the best cars I have ever purchased from Ford! I breaks my heart every time I hear something bad about the Mach-E!

The Mach-E is my 5th new Ford I have purchased from the factory and have never had a problem. Maybe that’s why I have purchased 5 new Ford cars. It is my first EV and I’m still proud to buy a Ford!!!!!

Like others on this thread, the Mach-E is my favorite car. It's great fun to drive, it doesn't use gas, and has been very reliable for me. I had a good experience having the HVBJB recall performed, plus 3 customer satisfaction recalls. The 3 worst things about the car are/were the poor HVBJB, a mediocre fast charging network on long trips, and potential failure of the 12 V battery. The first 2 problems are being actively corrected, and I assume Ford will have an over the air fix for 12 V battery maintenance soon, if they have not already. So for me, a great car is actually getting better!

Had our 2022 for over a year now. I was driving it this morning with my wife, and we are still talking about how nice the car is. We have always been a Japanese car family (Honda, Nissan/Infiniti), but the MachE is our first "new" car. The worst part is my wife usually drives the MachE and I drive the Odyssey, so I am jealous. Only another 22 months or so to wait for the new electric Scout...

Software is a bit weak. Compared to Tesla, Ford has a long way to go. Battery charge speed is less than optimal since the IoniQ 5-6 are by far much faster. Manual precondition, better beattery info and faster charging would make this a more than solid car. I love the ride and the way it operates, I am now just aware of the short comings compared to the market
I have driven a Tesla M3 twice. Once in 2019, and once in 2023. I really disliked the software, I know its powerful but it to me it felt like a 5 year old designed the GUI, nothing was intuitive and while you can voice control, it’s not my thing.

so I challenge your “Ford has a long way to go” and just chalk it up to preference. Apple vs Android similarity.

This is only the second Ford I've owned. The previous was a 1968 Mercury Cougar XR-7, which was fun, but entirely unreliable.

We've had a couple dozen vehicles over the years and this is by far the all-around best vehicle we've owned.

We want an all-electric Ranger (or Tacoma), but might settle for an F-150 Lightning, if we can find one that's affordably-priced.

I don't know if we'll buy another Mustang Mach-E; it may not be on the market by the time we're looking to replace the current one.

Thank you for being part of the Ford Family! We're glad you made the switch to EV.
I’m glad I’m here!! EV from now on! Nothing will ever convince that ICE is better!

Well, my MME is back in the shop, (fourth time in a year, not counting scheduled maintenance), and I really miss it. It’s a great car when it’s not throwing codes.
Sorry about that. I can’t relate. How many miles do you have?

I do love my car and just bought out the options contract up next month. There is nothing I would trade for right now.

But one more thing to give a shout out to is this forum!!
The expertise and genuine helpful people on here make the car even better. Admins have a light touch and keep everything running smoothly.
I’ve learned so much from reading on here and help me understand the car better.
If I eventually buy something else, I would want a forum as good as this one for that car.

Thank you everyone.

I am not sure the comparison between IOS and Android is a good example. Maybe BlackBerry to IOS is more fitting. With Tesla, there is a huge amount of info on the battery. Ford is limited to charge level. Pre condition the battery manual is a no go on Ford. So you need to set predetermined times. Really odd. Max charge rate on the ford is low and the battery size to distance travel maybe one of the worst on the market. So as much as it is a nice looking and driving car, the technology is behind.

My 2021 MachE Premium Ext will be 3 years old this week with 32K miles.
I'm just short of 74 years old and by far this has been the most enjoyable driving experience I've ever had. When I approach my red car I'm still overwhelmed by its beauty. I plan on keeping her for several more years and by that time expect major improvements in software, battery/range and charging times. Plus the infrastructure will make longer trips so much easier.
