Yes but limiting top speed only, would be nice to be able to limit throttle to 50% or something. Fordpass used to show driving logs for every trip which would have also worked. "what were you doing that you got a 5% acceleration/speed score and 1.5 mi/kw efficiency?"
Sorry Dad, I had the AC on high and a trunk full of beer kegs!

Hope it's ready in a few years but won't take delivery of any future EV unless it has solid state batteries
So you’re keeping the MME forever then or going back to ice? :p

Just found out my dealer will once again be selling EV’s so I will be looking closely in 2026. Most likely will purchase a new GT.

Hope my ICE will last anther 3yrs. Solid state has to be out by then. I'm sold on EV's, but will have ice for road trips for now and towing. Ford, let us put on a trailer hitch on for bikes and cargo carrier to haul coolers, without voiding the warranty.

I would imagine that solid state battery equipped EV's will NOT be sneaking up on us.

First, it will be a VERY loud announcement by ANY manufacturer that they will be bringing model "ABC" to market.

Second, I would expect that announcement to be preceded by huge press regarding solid state equipped test mules.

And finally, even the manufacturer of the solid state battery itself will precede the first two events. We would hear about the factory being built that is dedicated to the manufacture of the batteries for "ABC" automobile.

Blue Oval City
Ford's Michigan battery plant for LFP

Just two examples of how many years such things are KNOWN, before a showroom floor product with components from those stories even show up.

I'll be happy to eat crow, but there's nothing that even slightly implies that a consumer based EV with solid state battery pack will be available in 3 years. I'm an admitted optimist, but not quite that much of one.

Extremely unlikely. Affordable mass produced solid state EV batteries are like hydrogen fueled cars — perpetually the fuel of the future.

I agree - let me get 7 years on this 2023 GTPE and then evaluate options and new technologies

I have a 2021 Job 1 car and went through a lot of issues in the beginning. first 6 months of the car 3 of the months it was at the dealer. Over time and with updates it got better, although I still push the door button about 6 times before it opens very annoying.

I read on here awhile back they will likely redesign the Mach-e in 2026 so I would look at that for sure. I know I will only buy electric going forward. The other car I am waiting for is the all-electric Jeep Recon or maybe the new midsize SUV Rivian has coming. I do love the Mach-e my favorite car I owned for sure and with all its issues.

Rally is tempting to trade in my ‘22 with 116,324 miles but I’ll wait for the panoramic roof option. I’m also curious to see how much farther this car can go.

The panoramic roof would be a disaster on the Rally. There will be so many cracked panes when people start beating on them if they add a glass roof option. People will be hating on Ford for that. I just wish they divorced the panoramic roof option from the 360 cameras on the GT-PE in ‘21. ?‍♂?

Solid state has been “3-5 years out” for over a decade. There are so many hurdles to being able to mass-produce them that the target just keeps moving. Agreed with @Snakebitten that a very loud announcement will come from whomever the manufacturer will be, followed by a spate of very loud announcements from vehicle makers. some time between those two announcements, competitors to the winner will be making their own very loud announcements about their technologies being right around the corner, in an effort to prevent some of their customers from jumping ship to the winner. ??

I have a year left until Ford Options expires, and I'm leaning toward giving the car back (or getting rid of it another way, depending on value). I'm pissed about Bluecruise, disappointed in the dealer experience, and I don't trust that Ford won't break my car with a bad software update and leave me hanging. Actually I think they just suck at software altogether, which is increasingly important in these cars. I think the last software update that actually added a new feature was over a year ago, meanwhile I feel it's still pretty unreliable.
