See first minute of video. Most of the ICE vehicles have difficulties. I still wouldn't recommend driving through this ford at speed even in an electric vehicle.

Looks like I am watching something from “Candid Camera ”

did the tow truck driver place all the water there?

I bet that BMW’s intake inlet is low and in front. It probably sucked water into the chambers. That could bend a rod. 😱🐩

I’ve driven through much deeper with the Blazer, but only with a guide on foot and very slowly (1st gear in 4-Low). It’s expensive doing crossings though. All those fluids for the differentials, transfer case, and tranny cost an arm and a leg. 😱🐩 Although I could probably do that one without need to change fluids. 🤪🐩

No, this is a real ford. There's a whole series of videos about this crossing and there's always water here. It gets particularly interesting after heavy rain. People always seem to drive at speed through it even though there's a 30 mph limit. Even 4x4's have got caught out.

There does seem to be a high proportion of BMW's affected. Just watch the "fail" compilation videos.

Living in a state that likes Hurricanes. I avoid flooded roads. “Turn around, don’t drown.” Solid advice.
Totally different situation as the video, but I would use the same advice.

Pro tip: If you are thinking about fording a body of water and there is a crowd of spectators with cameras at the ready, turn around.

Says more about the drivers than the car

Bumping this since the "Don't drive your Mach-E in rain" thread is now locked.
