See my response below:

1. Let us grab some pictures for you during our EV meet this weekend.
1. Let us grab some pictures for you during our EV meet this weekend.

-The GT emblem mirrors the tail light behaviors. If the tail lights are on, the emblem is on. If the taillight is off, emblem is off. By off, I mean the switch is off. When you set it to auto, I think your taillight/headlights comes on during evening/night time.

2. The red matches up mostly, I would never say they are a 100% match. I will grab a picture of it this weekend.

3. I would have to take a look, but there is a possibility the white is more in the 8/9k hue and the regular reverse light is closer to a 6/7k hue.

4. I would say it’s easily double the thickness, but I can grab a picture this weekend and compare the two emblems.

5. We were planning to do a DIY video with MachE V-Log soon… however it’s is no different than our Pony LED rear replacement video in our YouTube channel here:

OK. I hate you people.
The last thing I need is to buy more crap for my car... now I think I want this.

@EV_Vida please help me with some questions and pictures. I need a little info before I commit. It would help to have this stuff on your site too.

1. Can you provide a picture of what it looks like in the day?
- Is it on all the time or wired to the exterior lights?
- Manual On
- Auto On
- Brake On
- Backup On (requiring extra wire)

2. Does the red match the red in the tail/brake lights? Can you share day/night pictures of the entire rear of the car when on?

3. Does the white match the back-up light (both same white, not one white and one bluish or yellowish)

4. How thick is it?

5. Can you share the instruction manual so I know if this is a DIY or pro install?

@EV_Vida ,

Thanks for the info and video. It was helpful.
Very excited to see the pictures of the GT badge at the EV meet.
If you have any video from the meet, that would be great to see as well.

If you could take some pictures in the dark, or at a darker time of day, that would help to see everything.

I like that it turns white when the reverse light comes on. A lot of people cannot see that low mounted center reverse lamp on the MME. This is up higher so it’s more visible. I need to save up some kibble for this. ??

@EV_Vida ,
Any info, instructions, or harness included or available for the backup light? I understand it's not part of the harness shown in the Pony install video.

There’s a separate wire (included in the kit) you need to route to the reverse light and tap to it. This single wire is then connected to the emblem enabling the reverse white behavior. Installation video maybe in a couple of weeks.

Simon,

This is GREAT!
Looking at the back of the emblem and the adhesive, it looks like the wiring interface on the top of the "G" and the side of the "T" do not have adhesive all the way around them. Does this leave them exposed to water and the elements and possible corrosion?

Should we/could we add some silicone or another small piece of 3M adhesive to at least cover these edges? I know it may not 100% cover or protect the interface, but it could help. maybe?

And sorry for so many questions and requests. I love what you are creating and selling.

I noticed the same thing and decided that when I buy one of these I will seal those parts of the PCB with something before installing. ??
