I had the IPMA updated on one of the cars to try and solve the speed sign recognition not available error. Went OK. But it didn’t fix anything.

So you’re saying that there’s not actually a camera hovering above the car? I hope that didn’t really need to be said.
Nope, sorry, no drone pops out of a hidden compartment and hovers over the car to provide that view ???
TBH, you’d be surprised though that there are people who think that view is completely accurate.

Of course the birds-eye aspect is virtual. You said you tested. Is there 360° coverage of the ground or not? If not, where is the missing coverage?
Pretty much where you’d expect. There’s high distortion at the corners of the vehicle and definite blind spots. If you have a friend, find an empty area of a parking lot on a nice day, turn on the parking cameras and ask your friend to approach the car from different angles and to circle the car at different distances. You’ll see what I’m talking about.

So you're suggesting it's just mere coincidence that this thing's been following me around everywhere I parked? Seems hard for me to believe. I hate to label you as a conspiracy theorist, but...

The Tesla cars I have had, had a caner on the front cowl right and left side looking backwards.
This made it easier for the sentry system to record people approaching the car. Then they had 4 canera views in the SD Card. MME does not have a SD card that I could find easily accesible.

The SD card isn’t the issue - the MME could have a 9-track tape drive in the front trunk and that wouldn’t solve the problem. As you noted, teslas have multiple camera, including the cowlings, b-pillars, etc. the primary purpose of these cameras is for 360 degree vision as part of the “driver assistance” (I refuse to call it “self driving”) system. Storage of a period of recently recorded imagery is helpful for diagnostics and to “establish fault” when people make crazy statements like “the car ran into a stopped emergency vehicle on a freeway” (we all know that Tesla products are perfect and incapable of error - just like HAL 9000). Hence, sentry mode is a “freebie”.

"I am completely operational, and all my circuits are functioning perfectly." says every electronic device or computer - ever ?
