Hi all, this is my first post. I am about to buy my 2nd Mach-e (premium x range) and the one at the dealership is brand new, just built and there is something new... and I am wondering if anyone has heard rumblings of Ford changing the layout of the instrument cluster or if it is a glitch. It is software version 23151.

As you can see, the speedometer in this vehicle is permanently on the right, the way it would have been if you had activated the Lane Centering. There is a way for me to turn lane centering on and off, but the little car stays there and the speedometer is on the right. No settings or anything to change it to the middle now. I have asked the dealership and they think this is just how the new software is.

So, is it a glitch or is this rolling out? Thank you all for the input!

Did you disable cruise control? The button on the far left of the steering wheel.

I did... went through the whole car with the sales team at the dealership. No way to change back. Possibly the new layout?

Just looks like the normal view when cruise control is enabled but not active to me.

What does it do when you switch to Engage mode?

This is engage mode. When you go to unbridle, you get the orange, but the speedometer is on the side and the orange lines are around the edges. Don't like it at all! That's why I am wondering if it is a glitch. If it is the new way, it is not an improvement!

Do you have Lane Keep Assist turned on?

Edited to add: it's the lower button next to the Cruise Control button. I.e below the following distance button.

No, Lane Assist is off. Cruise control is off. Nothing makes it go back to speed in middle mode... that's why I am wondering if it is the new software?

Check my edit. How did you verify that Lane Keep Assist is off? The button I mentioned, or in the settings?

Hey! I pushed the button on the steering wheel. It says, "Lane Assist On - OK" Then if you press it again it says, "Lane Assist Off - OK". When it is off, nothing changes, you get the same view in my above photo. Weird, hey?

Is there any way to know what changes happen in an update? Is there any Ford specialist who would know? They have no idea at my local dealership - they figure it is the new update... anyone else have this update running?

Also, thank you everybody :)

I would look in Settings....Vehicle.... Driver Assistance.... and make sure everything that can be off is off. If you've confirmed that it's all off, suggest that the dealership disconnect the 12V battery for 10 minutes and then reconnect it. That will reset all modules to a clean (but still programmed) state.

Good luck!

Everything has been disabled! I will check with them about disconnecting the battery. Cheers!
