Or just give us a preconditioning button so we don’t need to go into navigation.@Ford Motor Company
Please let the powers that be know that navigating to a DCFC and pre-conditioning the battery (if necessary) on the way should be a feature built in to every EV.
When I bought my used Mustang, the Public Charging app in the car still worked. I would be driving down the highway, open the app and it would display a list of nearby chargers. I could select one and then send it to the in car Nav and off we would go. Nothing could have been easier. I was amazed and pleased. Then it stopped working and implied that I needed to pay for connected navigation to get that feature back again. Why? Why break something that was working. Just to get a few more bucks from a customer?
I can use the Ford Pass app on my phone to locate a charging station and then sent it to one of the Nav apps on my phone (Apple) but then the car will not initiate preconditioning. Why not have an option to send it to the in car Nav so that the car will know that we are going to a charger and begin preconditioning as necessary?
I firmly believe that making on the road charging easy for the driver should be a primary goal in order to improve customer satisfaction.
Thanks for listening.
