Is this bug still present in the release version that just came out?

Do we report it in Feedback Assistant or is there a better way?
It is present in the current build yes. The best way is feedback assistant, even though sometimes it seems they don't get them.

Definitely out of sequence. The Road showing the "Right" turn is several after the "Left" turn
This seems to be the issue really. It's really out of sequence. (A turn ahead and wrong direction.) But it's very random.

Mine was off, but it wasn't consistent at all. Sometimes it was off by a little, sometimes it was off by 5+ miles. Weird that the main screen was never off.

I’ve been running the iOS 17 beta. Whenever I see Connected Road, I cancel and restart navigation and it goes away.

Hey everyone,

Just want to give a heads up to everyone since iOS 17 is launching on Monday that there is a known issue with directions now appearing correctly in your instrument cluster. In the iOS 17 Release Candidate notes, it stated this issue was resolved, however it is still occurring and a feedback / bug report is open. (FB13169687)

Apple has less than 10 reports of the issue so far, but does have the ticket open.

If anyone is currently on iOS 17 beta, and has this issue (Which has been the case through most the beta process) You should make a report so that it elevates the priority.

You will notice that it will show "connected road" instead of the street name, or show the totally incorrect information for your current navigational move.

So if you see this issue after updating on Monday, just know Apple is aware, and it is a bug in iOS, NOT your vehicle.

This has been an issue before iOS 17 for me.

It appears iOS 17.1 resolves the issue. So far in testing I haven't been able to reproduce the issue after the update. Anyone else who is in the beta program confirm it as well?

To those who say it's been an issue before iOS 17. There are troubleshooting steps you should do first like rebooting your devices, restoring the device ect. The testing I've done have been with a fresh install device each time. (Full restore with NO iCloud backup or signing into Apple IDs.)

Used CarPlay today a few times and direction in IPC worked well after 17.02 update,no connected road or frozen screen. It didn’t work with 17 beta and didn’t when 17 was released last week.

as an FYI, does Waze and Google maps show directions in IPC? doesn't in my car with Apple phone

I can confirm it appears resolved in iOS 17.1 beta, so hopefully when it’s out publicly this will resolve it for everyone.
