Ipass converting to rfid stickers from transponders

In Illinois, they’re about to roll out RFID stickers to replace toll transponders for Ipass. if you have made the switch, please let us know if the sticker works in the same black-dot area beside the rear view mirror where the transponders have been working. I wish there's a sure-fire way to figure out if it's working, like a test area or something. Most of the lights on the "please drive by at 20mph but everyone knows it works at 50mph" tollbooths seem to be busted, so the only way is to look up the account to see if you've been penalized because they had to use the ALPR to read your license plate?

Not speculation but a parallel observation. We have stickers and transponders in Florida. They both work in the designated dotted area of the windshield. I have had both And have used them successfully in other, out-of-state systems like Ez-Pass, but have not tried with your I-pass.

I have an RFID sticker for my work parking garage. It works in the dotted areas next to the rear view mirror.
