A month ago I had put in a request to join the ford early access program and I was put on a waiting list.

Ford just sent me an e mail asking me to answer some questions etc. regarding the program.

should I join their program?

thanks in advance for any advice

There's no harm in joining. The way I look at it, all of us are basically beta testers anyways.

So far the only benefit I've gotten is earlier access to BC on my '21 and this week I got the newest power up on my '22. IIRC some people got free charging but that was hit or miss.

I only got invited to one program, which is the Plug and Charge + EA membership. Which is cool because I got free membership for a year. It doesn't hurt to join and some programs you don't have to join if you don't want to. Others will just come via OTA update anyways.

Do it. I was on the "maybe" list for 8 months and never got access.

Thank you!
What's funny is that I've never received a single email regarding Early Access, but I logged in through that link one day and was given the option to join, which I did. I haven't received another email since, so I'm anxiously awaiting my first EA update, but not holding my breath.

I received the same email from Ford today. Hope that means early access is on its way for us! I've been on the list for about a month.

You need to be willing to give them feedback and answer their surveys. It’s not just so you can get software sooner. They want you to commit to providing feedback when requested. If you don’t like surveys then you shouldn’t join.

A lot of people in EA never email or answer surveys. That’s sort of our job if accepted.

I do not have a problem doing that. many moons ago I used to be a beta tester for Microsoft Windows, at times it was scary but I did like to be involved with that. It could drive you crazy but like someone said, we are all beta testers to some extent anyway.

I got the same email, but each time I put in my justification, it says "an error has occurred" and a "thanks for your submission. Be on the lookout for an email from us".

So unclear if I'm beta testing their cloud submission form or their cars software... ?

To be honest, if you have a Job1 car, and possibly Job2 at this point, you might never get in. They only accept "X" amount of vehicles before closing the doors to more.
